I went out of my way to order these to my hotel on a work
trip to the US to avoid the insane shipping costs to Canada that would double the price. It wasn’t worth the effort.
They are expensive and the quality was inconsistent. One balm was bigger than the other and as a result it was loose in the paper container and can just fall out if inverted. I have been meaning to contact them because how did that pass quality control? Did it suffer shrinkage? Is it stale?
Importantly, it isn’t a very good lip balm. It goes on smooth but it feels dry after application, not moisturizing and then wears off super fast, so the effect is like you never put anything on at all.
I have been looking for a great replacement for Hurraw! ever since I realized they don’t give a flying f -ck about all the plastic pollution they cause and have no intention for changing anything about their line. They are one of these accidentally vegan companies that isn’t run by vegans. I really liked Biossance for a while but then they switched their glass container to a plastic tube in 2020 citing the pandemic but I’m sure it was also just cost savings for them.
The search continues. I’m open to recommendations!
