Yan Confinement Residency

Being born with a Y chromosome is an indelible, awkward privilege. Never more so than when you consider (or never have to consider) childbirth (#saynotokids 💪) I mean, if this is what confinement food tastes like, then I would be down for postpartum depression straight away 😖 Bland, torrid, and uninspiring, I had to bring this home and dump so much pepper and #soysauce into this #soup to make it barely edible. The ratio of #sweetcorn, #pumpkin, and #cashew was so generous, how did the end product end up so devoid of flavour 🤯

We came across this stall at the vegan food fair and thought we'd give everyone a fair crack of the whip. Never would've been on my radar otherwise in a million years! 😅

helena12345 Broooo the first sentences spoke to me lol
I gave birth 2 days ago and I honestly want more kids, but I don’t know if I will (maybe adoption) for the simple reason that it was the worst pain in my life.
Truly wish my husband could birth the next one 🥲 Lol5 likesReply
stevenneoh The adoption approach is very cool. Even I would consider it, as you get to enjoy almost everything about parenthood, without the guilt of adding to population pressure on the planetary ecosystem 🥲5 likesReply
