Review of Chickun Fried Stake at Vertical Diner by curvycarbivore

I almost didn’t order this because the words “chicken patty” turned me off. I was expecting like a Boca chicken patty or something basic. But that is far from the truth!! This is their homemade seitan patty breaded in a thick crispy batter, topped with their gravy. As soon as I took my first bite I immediately knew this was one of my favorite things I’ve tried here!!!

The patty was crispy, large, and had a great texture (not chewy at all). I loved the chunky mashed potatoes and fried veggies on the side too. I would go back here just for this meal again. Though it did put me to sleep afterwards 😅
