The Mom’s store near me finally got some Deux in! 🥳 This is really exciting because they’ve been listed as carrying their products on the Deux website for at least a year, but if I’ve wanted any, I’d have had to travel to other stores close to an hour away to find any.
These donut holes are so different from the enhanced cookie dough that Deux has been known for. These are exactly as the packaging describes: “sweet vanilla cake coated in melt-in-your mouth icing.” There is no heavy oat flour taste, like you can find in their cookie doughs. This is just light, moist, sweet vanilla cake with a delicious sugar icing. They're perfectly sized too. My only issue is that there are only 4 to a bag, and the serving size is 2 donut holes. How do they expect that to last?
Each 2 donut hole (30g) serving contains 120 calories from 6g of fat (4g of saturated fat from palm, sunflower and coconut), 15g of carbs and 1g of protein. They advertise being baked, not fried, and that they have 41% less sugar. It also contains 41.7mcg of vitamin B12 (which is listed as 1740% RDV) as well as L-theanine, an amino acid that helps reduce stress and increase focus, found primarily in green and black tea and some mushrooms.
Currently, $3.29 on sale at Mom’s, regularly priced at $3.99.
