Eating at this temple inside the Tenryuji temple was such a unique experience. You take your shoes off and sit on the floor in a room facing another row of seated guests.

I was not sure what some of the vegetables were but I know that it is all plant based. It was something really different to take your time eating slowly, and tasting all the different textures, temperatures and flavours. I enjoyed the food overall and was very stuffed by the end of my meal. The miso eggplant was my favourite!

I would definately recommend! I read ahead that there were different set meals (varying in # of dishes), but they were only offering the 3,300 yen one at the time i went. I believe that generally you need reservations, but they were able to take me in as a single walk in.
