There aren’t that many vegan steak products on the market, let alone shredded steak so
this was interesting to try.
It comes frozen but is fast and easy to heat up. I first cooked it with the lid on to defrost and then browned with a bit of olive oil before adding in other ingredients for my dish.
I tasted a bit before seasoning and it has a relatively mild flavor. It was easy to season up. The texture is nice.
I used it in a stroganoff type dish but I think this would also be lovely in tacos as picture on the package.
17 grams of protein per 170 cal serving! Soy based.
I purchased this from GTFO It’s Vegan a while back but I have seen Better Chew products in Whole Foods as well.

but it doesn’t look like the package.
