We are lucky enough to have three local cinemas. This Picturehouse is a great place.
It’s open all week so if you’re free during the day you can go along with confidence that you’ll get a seat. There is a spacious bar and cafe in the first floor and a smaller area in the ground floor where you get your tickets.
They do a good deal of £5 for a cake and a hit drink.
There’s always a vegan option or two and I chose this prettily decorated carrot cake. I’m very glad I did it was really nicely made, moist, dense, fruity as well as carroty and laced with chopped walnut.
The crowning glory is a lovely butter cream decorated with chopped pecan nuts and a swirl of maple syrup.
